JACKSON COUNTY, MI – More activities are taking place on Thursday, Aug. 7 at the 2025 Jackson County Fair. Here are a few things to check out.

Gates are open from 1 to 10 p.m. at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, 128 W. Ganson St. Today, the entrance fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children, according to the fair’s website.

Today is Veterans Day, and veterans receive free admission into the fair.

Pie baking contest

The Jackson County Fair is hosting a pie baking contest at 1 p.m. Thursday inside the Gumper Building.

People can submit entry forms and pies between 8 to 11 a.m. inside the fair office. Participants are asked to bake two pies, one for judging and one for auction.

Karaoke contest

While there is not a Grandstand show on Thursday, K105.3 is hosting a karaoke contest at 6:30
