BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified Thursday the victim of a deadly College Park Road motorcycle crash.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2013 Toyota SUV was attempting to turn left onto Corporate Parkway on Wednesday evening when a motorcyclist on a 2001 Kowasaki collided with the passenger side.

Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said the motorcyclist died at the scene.

Chief Deputy Coroner Kelly Powell identified the victim as 25-year-old Andrew Helms of Ladson.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
