DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- After being lined by signs of construction for a seemingly long while, Shoup Mill Road is clear.
A construction project on Shoup Mill Road between Main Street and Lofty Oaks Drive is complete, meaning all lanes are back open to traffic.
The $5.97 million project saw a full reconstruction of the roadway, a new sidewalk and a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians.
"These improvements address long-standing safety concerns and help create a more walkable, connected community," the township said in a social media post.
The township says that the project was led by the Montgomery County Engineer's Office and funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation.
