LYMAN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - FOX Carolina is getting you answers about your road concerns in Spartanburg County.

Neighbors in Lyman contacted us after a road collapsed during a storm last week.

Between Spartanburg Road and Piedmont Street, Meadow Street runs through Lyman Mill Village in the western part of the county.

Residents said they’ve dealt with these issues for years and it was only a matter of time before the road gave out.

A pile of asphalt and broken pieces of aging pipes are what’s left of Meadow Street.

Residents said they warned the town and the DOT about flooding issues and old infrastructure, but repairs never came.

“I’m looking to my town to help me and so is everybody else,” neighbor Jeff Calvert said.
