SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officials in Spartanburg County said their network experienced a “cybersecurity incident.”

The incident immediately triggered a response from network software, the county’s cybersecurity vendor, and law enforcement, officials said.

The event was quickly contained.

Spartanburg County Government Offices remain open to the public, although some online services may be temporarily unavailable while personnel work to restore systems.

Essential services like 911 operations and emergency communications are operating normally.
