CHAPIN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Former South Carolina Lt. Gov. André Bauer announced Friday he is suspending his campaign for U.S. Senate.
In July, Bauer launched a GOP primary challenge to Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Bauer argued that he did not believe Graham was conservative enough.
However, Bauer said Friday, “I cannot and will not be part of a political climate that rewards deception over honesty, or ambition over unity.”
Graham has Pres. Donald Trump’s endorsement for reelection.
