PHOENIX — President Donald Trump’s historic new tariffs are officially in effect. This impacts dozens of America’s trading partners, and raises import taxes to the highest level since the Great Depression.

Tariffs will be collected on a variety of products, like food, furniture and toys from China, as well as Japanese cars.

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona told CNN's John King how tariffs will limit what they’re able to provide the community.

"We're definitely going to be seeing less produce come in," Claudio Rodriguez said.

Fortunately, Rodriguez and his food bank won’t be immediately impacted. Tariffs on imports from Mexico have been delayed for 90 days, as trade negotiations continue.
