CHARLESTON (WV News) — More than 125,000 intrepid explorers have checked in along the West Virginia Waterfall Trail, according to the West Virginia Department of Tourism.
First launched in 2022, the popular program encourages tourists and locals alike to get off the beaten path, reconnect with nature and discover more than two dozen waterfalls throughout the state.
Participants who check in along the trail can receive exclusive prizes.
To date, the trail has seen check-ins from all 50 states and 48 counties, with more than 14,000 prizes handed out.
