In a final push to raise the remaining money needed for three key features of the future Buchanan Park, a trio of entities will join forces for one large fundraising event.

The Friends of Buchanan Park fundraiser is planned at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Evergreen Lake House. The night will include tapas, a live and silent auction, a paddle raise, dueling pianos and a cash bar.

The goal is to raise $200,000, which will be divided equally to support the planned adventure playground, skatepark and pavilion.

Tickets are $100 each and available at evergreenrecreation.com.

Members of the three organizations said they’ve been fundraising separately, and while that’s gone well, they hope a one-time big event could get them to the finish line.
