The $1.5 million state grant for the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill will do for the entire park what a similar grant did for the Microporous site.

“It allows us to go in and have pieces in place and ready to roll for a company to make necessary applications for a grading permit,” said Pittsylvania County Economic Development Director Matt Rowe.

Last week, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced a total of $40 million in Virginia Business Ready Sites Program development grants for 13 sites across the commonwealth.

One of those sites is the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill.
