CHERAW, S.C. (WBTV) - One person was killed after a two-car crash in Chesterfield County Wednesday morning, according to troopers.
The wreck reportedly happened around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, along U.S. Highway 52 near Bethel Church Road in Cheraw.
What happened
Troopers said that a northbound Honda hit a Chrysler that was trying to make a left turn on the highway.
The Honda driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Chrysler driver was transported to a nearby hospital. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
As of this writing, the person killed has not been identified, and the condition of the Chrysler driver remains unknown.
Authorities have not announced any charges related to the crash.
