Drivers who use Maple Meadows Drive to access Route K will need to find an alternate route starting Monday as crews begin installing a new water main as part of the ongoing roundabout project .
The roundabout project at the intersection at Route K and West Old Plank Road began on July 28 to improve safety and traffic flow.
According to the Columbia Public Works Department, Maple Meadows Drive will close on West Route K at 7 a.m. Monday and remain closed through the morning of Friday, Aug. 15. During the closure, officials advise drivers to use Vermillion Drive as a detour to access Route K.
According to Columbia Public Works, part of Maple Meadows Drive will remain gravel until phase two of the roundabout project begins in September.
