TERRA ALTA, W.Va. (WBOY) — Hazmat teams are at the scene of a CSX train derailment in Terra Alta Thursday morning.

According to officials with the Preston County 911 Communications Center, 13 train cars were involved in the derailment, but none of them were carrying hazmat material. All of the hazmat cars in the train were unaffected, officials said.

No injuries have been reported, but as of 8:45 a.m., emergency crews, including hazmat teams from Preston County and Garrett County, Maryland are still at the scene, which is near the intersection of Bridge Street and Saltlick Road in Terra Alta.

The communications center confirmed that the train is CSX, and CSX officials are on the scene along with first responders.
