Instagram has launched a new feature — and it's putting your location on the map, literally.

Instagram owner Meta announced on Aug. 6 that it had rolled out a new feature that will give users access to their friends' locations and vice versa through a map feature. While the platform has allowed users to share their locations in posts or stories, its latest feature takes it a step further by letting users share their real-time location with friends.
