AUGUSTA TWP., MI — A group of residents opposed to a $1 billion computer data center proposed near Milan has begun knocking on doors to collect signatures on a ballot petition.
The group, Protect Augusta Charter Township, wants voters in the township to decide whether to rezone about 522 acres north of Milan-Oakville Road from agricultural residential to general industrial use. The citizen-led ballot initiative comes after the township Board of Trustees recently approved the rezoning in a unanimous vote .
