LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas State Board of Election Commissioners reprimanded three Searcy County election officials, according to a report from Arkansas Advocate .
The three members of the Searcy County Election Commission—Laura Gross, L.C. Ratchford, and Ken Weekly—challenged an earlier decision to decertify them.
Instead of decertifying the three for 14 years for violating election laws in the state during the 2024 elections, the board moved to sanction them on two of the four allegations.
That included a charge of "accepting something of value from an unapproved source." The Advocate noted that election officials in Searcy County rented camera equipment to livestream counting the ballots from Arkansas Voter Integrity Initiative.
