VERMILLION, S.D. (KCAU) — A winning Lotto America ticket with a $4 million prize was recently purchased in Vermillion.

According to a release from South Dakota Lottery, the ticket was bought at Freedom Valu Center in Vermillion with the winning numbers 26, 29, 30, 33, 40. The Star Ball was 1.

“This is an exciting time for the South Dakota Lottery, our players and our retail partners,” Lottery Executive Director Norm Lingle said. “We want to congratulate our winner but also stress the importance of taking the proper steps to fully enjoy their jackpot dreams.”

The winner has the option of either taking a one-time cash payment of $1,820,000 or receiving 30 payments over the next 29 years. Additionally, Freedom Valu Center will be receiving a $10,000 retailer bonus.
