A teenager who suffers multiple seizures a day says he is "really scared" for his safety after funding for a personal support worker who accompanies him on his journey to college was withdrawn.

Joshua Richmond has relied on a council funded personal assistant (PA) for the past six years to support him on his taxi journey to and from school.

The 16-year-old, from Rochdale, Greater Manchester , has epilepsy and cannot travel on his own.

Joshua is set to begin his new BTEC Sports course at college on 1 September but his mum, Sarah Richmond-Bunnel, says with without a chaperone, there would be no one to look after him if he had a seizure.
