Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava's request for an extension to provide information to Florida's version of the Department of Government Efficiency has been denied by the state's chief financial officer.

CFO Blaise Ingoglia sent a letter to Levine Cava on Wednesday saying her request was rejected because of allegations of excessive spending by the county.

On Monday, Ingoglia and Florida's DOGE had requested info about county expenditures after it was announced that Miami-Dade had a budget gap of over $400 million.

Today, I sent a letter to @MayorDaniella rejecting her request for a 30 day extension to comply with @DOGEFla ’s request for information.

Other governments have complied on time. There is ZERO reason Miami-Dade can’t do the same.
