HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - A pregnant woman was badly hurt in a crash in Henderson Tuesday evening.

They say it happened on Zion Road, not far from the high school.

Kaleb Cherry tells us he ran out of gas, and he was pushing his car, with flashers on, to a nearby gas station.

His pregnant girlfriend, Samantha Woodard, was inside the car when police say Gibson crashed into in.

Somehow, Cherry only had a minor injury.

Police say Woodard was unconscious when they arrived.

Family members say her injuries include four broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a small brain bleed. She is in the ICU.

They say the baby was due the next day and was safely delivered.
