FLINT, MI - McDonald’s restaurants across Flint and Genesee County are celebrating 810 Day with a special kickoff event and a limited-time meal that highlights local pride.

The celebration kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the McDonald’s at 3060 Miller Road.

Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley will join McDonald’s representatives, community leaders, and residents to mark the occasion.

Also appearing will be Jameirson Green, the designer behind the 810 Day T-shirt, known for his work with Dreamville, Vans Vault, Old Spice, and Foot Locker.

“Even though I moved away from Flint, it made me who I am,” Green said, who currently lives in New York as an entrepreneur. “It taught me toughness, how to make it and how to survive and thrive in different environments.”
