COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — After a water leak in the Ralston Tower led to a portion of the building flooding on Wednesday, residents inside voiced their frustrations about its ongoing problems.

"I hope they get the situation tightened up, cause they need it bad," said Travis Gibson, a resident inside Ralston Tower. "We suffering pain and I just hope they get it fixed... like ASAP because we need it bad."

According to Columbus Fire and EMS Deputy Chief Daniel Macon, the flooding affected one portion of the building and prompted evacuations.

The department responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and called in additional crews to help evacuate people inside the building.
