BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - The 7th annual Sock Out Cancer 5K by Broome Oncology has been announced.

September 7th, the 7th annual Sock Out Cancer 5K run & walk will be held at Otsiningo Park. The 5K is hosted by Broome Oncology.

Funds raised from the event are distributed to Mercy House and Local Hospital Foundations. Sock Out Cancer strives to raise funds to help local cancer patients with the financial burden that takes place while they undergo treatment.

Participants can either walk or run the 5K.
