The man fatally shot on Dudley Street was identified Tuesday as 23-year-old Tanahj Takeem Thompson-Hinnant, Boston police said.

Thompson-Hinnant, of Roxbury, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said in a statement.

Sergeant Detective John Boyle, the department’s chief spokesperson, confirmed that Thompson-Hinnant is the city’s 22nd homicide victim this year.

On Sunday, police responded to a radio call for a person shot at 289 Dudley St. shortly before midnight, the statement said.

The department’s homicide unit is investigating the shooting. Anyone with information should contact the Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
