SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Caddo students return to the classroom in less than a week, and that means drivers will need to be cautious around school zones.

School zone cameras will be in operation once again. A measure Mayor Tom Arceneaux says has greatly helped enforce speed limits.

"Our primary concern is safety, and the biggest thing that has changed people's behavior in school zones have been these cameras, because people know that everybody that glides through that school zone without paying attention is going to get a ticket. That's healthy for our children and healthy for the school system itself," explains Mayor Arceneaux.
