Fresh plans have been submitted which could see 43 affordable homes built in a village in Huntingdonshire. Amplius, a property developer, submitted the plans to Huntingdonshire District Council to build on land beside Station Road in Warboys.

The plans are for a 5.8-acre site within 1km of the centre of Warboys. Currently empty, the site was farmland until the end of 2022. It is north of a sewage pumping station, and borders a pre-existing residential area to the southwest, on the other side of Station Road.

Apart from two accessible bungalows, the proposed buildings are all two-storey. There will be a total of 84 parking spaces, as well as a play area. The houses will also have cycle storage, and the application describes the site as being “within acceptable walking and cycling distance
