STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) -- Charges were dropped this week against a man accused of a home invasion on Frank Street because a witness failed to appear at his preliminary hearing.
Charges of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, were dismissed against Jimmy Figueroa, 30, who was accused of taking part in a March 19 home invasion where a man was shot in the leg.
A warrant was issued a few days later for Figueroa, but he remained free until Youngstown police arrested him in June during a traffic stop. Weapons charges that were filed in that stop against Figueroa in Youngstown Municipal Court were bound over to a grand jury.
Charges are still pending against a co-defendant in the home invasion case, Clemale Bills, 30. Court records show he
