YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - In the past 48 hours, there have been two nearby officer shootings. Two troopers were shot in northeastern Pennsylvania Thursday morning, and two more were shot in Cleveland Thursday night.
The suspect accused of shooting two officers in Cleveland was captured alive Friday morning, while the officers themselves are recovering and in stable condition. Police say they have dealt with the suspect before, which is exactly why the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is calling for a tougher approach to sentencing for violent crimes.
