WALTHALL COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - A Taylorsville woman has been sentenced for Medicaid fraud, according to Attorney General Lynn Fitch.

Fitch announced that Pearly Youngblood was sentenced on one count of Medicaid fraud. Youngblood pleaded guilty to the charge.

According to Fitch, Youngblood was an employee of Blessing Hearts Healthcare, and “knowingly submitted false claims for Medicaid services that she did not provide.”

Fitch said that Walthall County Circuit Court Judge David Strong ordered Youngblood to pay $16,598.40 in restitution to the Mississippi Division of Medicaid, as well as $4,000 in fines and fees.

Youngblood also received five years of non-adjudicated probation through the Mississippi Department of Corrections and will remain on the federal exclusion list.
