An Acme Market in Greenwich is slated to close this fall.

The company notified the first selectman and the state Department of Labor that the Acme Market at 160 West Putnam Ave. is expected to close to the public on around Oct. 9, according to a state’s WARN report website.

Employees will continue to work at the store to close operations for some time after that date, the letter goes on to say.

Around 56 people work at the store and they will be offered positions at another location, according to the letter.
