If you're an Instagram user, you might have heard about a update that gives you the option to share your location with some of your followers.

Meta says your location won't be shared unless you want it to be, meaning the map feature would be off by default. But, there is a way to actively turn it off too.

"I think I’d be opting out,” said Brian Morris, of Middletown.
