DICKINSON, ND (KXNET) - A man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly firing a BB gun at a delivery driver during a dispute over a grocery drop-off, according to Dickinson police.

Officers responded around 4:35 p.m. to a residence in the 900 block of 3rd Avenue East after the driver called 911. The driver told police he was attempting to locate the intended recipient when 19-year-old Curry Lomanot McCarty Jr. offered to accept the groceries. The driver declined, suspecting McCarty was not the rightful recipient.

Police said an argument followed, during which McCarty went inside the residence, retrieved a BB-style handgun and allegedly discharged it toward the driver.
