TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Walleye announced a set of moves to the team's coaching staff Thursday.
Brent Bain, formerly assistant coach, has been promoted to associate head coach for the Walleye.
Bain, a Toledo native, joined the organization in 2017 as a video coach before becoming solely an assistant coach in the 2022-23 season. Prior to joining the Walleye, Bain served two years as assistant coach for St. John's varsity hockey team.
“Brent is an exceptional coach with a deep knowledge of the game and player development," Walleye head coach Pat Mikesch said in a press release announcing the move Thursday. "This promotion is well deserved, and I look forward to working with him in this new role.”
