GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Visibly upset, Arthur Joseph couldn’t stand being in the same room as the “bastard” who gunned down his daughter.
He didn’t want to see Marcus Durayalle Lofton spend decades behind bars for murder. The grieving father instead wanted justice served in a different fashion.
“If it were up to me, he would not walk out of here,” Joseph told a Kent County judge. “I’m sorry he’s getting the 25 years. I wish he would’ve got one day – let justice be served that way.”
“I wish I could handle this and serve justice on his a** right now,” he continued.
Marcus Lofton, 44, was sentenced on Thursday, Aug. 7, to 25-50 years in prison for shooting his wife, 38-year-old Alicia Danielle Lofton, 15 times after a morning argument . 18
