ATHENS, Ohio. (WSAZ) - The Athens Police Department said they’re currently working an active scene after a shooting at 93 W. Union St.

Heavy law enforcement is present in the area and people should avoid the area, police said.

Those already living or working nearby are asked to shelter in place until law enforcement have provided an all-clear notification, Ohio University said.

No other information has been released.
