Huntsville Police released the identity of a man who died in a murder-suicide that happened on Tuesday on Retlaw Street.

According to Huntsville Police, Dominic Kane Tucker, 21, was found dead after firefighters responded to a house fire on the 1100 block of Retlaw Street around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters found Tucker along with the body of an almost 2-year-old child inside the home.

Huntsville Police say it's their policy not to identify deceased children or juveniles and didn't name the baby killed in the incident.

Autopsy results from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences say Tucker and the child died by gunshot wounds.

Police are continuing to investigate.
