GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — A federal judge has agreed to delay the trial of Red Ginger Buffet's owners, Xiong Wei Yang and Xue Rong Wu, who are charged with employing, harboring, and concealing four undocumented workers, to Dec. 9.

Judge Clifton Corker wrote in an order this week that he wouldn't extend the date, originally set for Aug. 12, until early 2026. But he found defense attorney Jefferson Fairchild's motion "well-taken" and wrote that "a four-month continuance is sufficient but not greater than necessary to accommodate defendants' circumstances."

Those circumstances, including a language barrier and Wu's pregnancy (she is due Nov. 13), were outlined by Fairchild in his July 29 motion to delay the trial and associated deadlines.
