The robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. at a business near Welburn Avenue and Church Street. Police released two photos of the suspect on Thursday.
Authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic man with a medium build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, blue latex gloves and a face mask.
After the man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, he fled north on foot through a parking lot.
“Based on our initial investigation, it appeared the suspect may have a limp,” Gilroy PD wrote.
