NORMAN — Luke Wilson, an offensive tackle from Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon.
Wilson, who will play his junior season of high school ball this fall, is the first pledge of the Sooners’ 2027 recruiting class.
OU previously had a 2027 commitment from Denton, Texas defensive end Zane Rowe, but he ultimately decommitted to keep his options open for the time being.
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Wilson chose the Sooners over offers from Florida State, Wake Forest, UTSA and UTEP.
The Southlake Carroll program Wilson hails from is the same school that produced current OU receiver Jacob Jordan and defensive back Preston Mickens.
