A Mount Airy man is facing a long list of disturbing charges after detectives raided his home as part of an ongoing sex offense investigation, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Mark Brigham, 35, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 6, after deputies executed a search warrant at a home in the 7500 block of Woodville Road, officials said Thursday.
During the search, detectives seized electronics, firearms, ammunition, and other related evidence, the sheriff’s office said.
Brigham was taken into custody at the scene and booked at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for multiple offenses.
He is charged with:
- Sexual abuse of a minor;
- Second-degree rape – child under 14;
- Fourth-degree sex offense;
- Possession of child pornography;
- Sexual solicitation of a minor;
- Child pornography – film sex act;
- Indecent exposure to a minor;
- Display obscene matter to a minor;
- Firearm possession with a felony conviction.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and more charges may follow.
