LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Thursday evening the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame welcomed its newest class of eight individuals and two teams.

The two teams that are a part of the class of 2025 are the 1981 Okemos girls basketball team and the 1999 Williamston boys wrestling team.

The individuals in the class include:

Carlton Valentine was the Lansing Sexton boys basketball coach for their state title runs in 2011 and 2012. He also played at Michigan State from 1984 to 1988.

Former Michigan State baseball pitcher Phil Magsig , who was with the Spartans from 1979 to 1982. Before MSU he was at Dansville from 1974 to 1977. Magsig was also the head coach for Okemos baseball for 24 years, winning over 450 games.

Steve Maidlow was at Michigan State from 1978 to 1982 and was at E
