MADISON (WKOW) -- A former massage therapist entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted one of his clients.

Court records state Gonzalo Reategui , 34, of Madison, was convicted of fourth-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor.

A judge withheld sentencing him to prison time, as long as he successfully completes the terms of his two-year probation, which include court costs, no contact with his former client, and a sex offender evaluation. He also may not provide any massage services or engage in any massage business.

Investigators said a woman told them Reategui touched her inappropriately below the waist twice during one of her sessions in February 2024, without asking for or being granted consent.
