LISBON, CT (WFSB) - A man was arrested for manslaughter and DUI after a crash on I-395 in Lisbon back in August 2024.

The man was identified as Raft Torres, 35, from Wallingford.

According to state police, Torres was driving when his car crashed and killed his passenger .

Police said Torres’ Dodge Ram went off the road, hit a bridge abutment, and caught fire around 10:20 p.m.

He was seriously injured during the incident.

Police confirmed that Torres’ license was suspended at the time and he was also driving impaired.

Torres was charged with second degree manslaughter, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to maintain proper lane.

He was held on a $150,000 bond and
