WILTON, CT (WFSB) - A pedestrian was struck by a driver in Wilton on Wednesday.

Police said it happened just before 9:15 p.m. on Danbury Road.

They said emergency personnel responded and transported the 18-year-old pedestrian to Norwalk Hospital.

The injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The driver remained at the scene to fully cooperate with investigators, police said.

They continue to investigate how it happened.
