BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- The CAMC Cancer Center in Beckley received a mobile PET scanner in August 2025.

According to a press release, the CAMC Cancer Center in Beckley received a new mobile Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanner to offer high image quality and resolution to help identify small lesions and metastases for state-of-the-art tumor staging.

The press release stated that the new scanner's image quality and high resolution will help the Center find small lesions early, which can help with a proper diagnosis and personalized treatment.
