Two Pennsylvania State Police troopers are in stable condition after a shooting in Susquehanna County on Aug. 7.

According to a press release issued by the state police, the troopers were shot after responding to a call on Route 171 in northeastern Susquehanna County, around 5 miles north of the Town of Thompson.

The troopers were transported to local hospitals. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro told WNEP in an interview at Geisinger Community Medical Center streamed live on their YouTube page that both were in stable condition that afternoon.
