CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) is at a property in Cheatham County rescuing nearly 20 animals.

ARC is removing 17 animals from a " filthy and trash-strewn property" in what they are calling “Operation Skyfall.” The group is rescuing 11 exotic birds, three chickens, two dogs and a miniature horse.

The animals have been neglected, with several in need of veterinary assistance. ARC said many of them are suffering from prolonged exposure to ammonia due to the high levels of it in the home.

Many of the animals also have low body condition scores.

In addition to the ammonia, ARC also found the house to be infested with bugs and mice.
