ATLANTA — Atlanta's newest addition to the art scene is a vast private collection of art assembled by noted Southeast builder John Wieland and his late wife, Sue, themed "House and Home."

It is one of the first collections of its kind in the United States, and fulfills a wish of the Wielands to share their collection with the public. The collection opened for visitors at The Warehouse.

The appropriately-titled Warehouse, was founded by John and transformed from a storage facility into a world-class art gallery. The building, located in Atlanta's Westside, contains more than 40 years of art acquired across the world by the Wielands.

Philip Verre, director of The Warehouse, is confident the collection is indeed unique to the U.S.
