AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Museum of Art is inviting families to an afternoon of fun, creativity and community celebration this weekend.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the free event will feature both indoor and outdoor activities, including live music by a local artist, hands-on art projects for all ages, and more.

Inspired by the museum’s summer exhibition, Home, Love and Loss , art activities will include jewelry making, watercolor postcards and home-themed sculptures. Children and families can also take part in a gallery hunt throughout the museum, with prizes awarded.

Additional outdoor fun will be provided by sponsor Little Bee’s Playhouse.
