BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Rep. Paul Takac (D-82) hosted an event to alert seniors to the resources available to them, along with the challenges they can face.

The second annual Senior Resource Fair took place at Centre Care. The goal was to connect seniors with the resources they need. Several organizations set up information booths, including state agencies and healthcare providers.

Takac says he spoke with seniors who shared details about the struggles they face on a fixed income.

"It is talking with people about affordability. It's talking with people about access to health care, to the things that they need," Takac said. "And, frankly, that's our job as government. We shouldn't be making it harder. We should be making it easier."
